The Learning Science and Mathematics (LSM) Online Journal (previously known as the Classroom Teacher that was published as print only journal) aims at improving the quality of Science and Mathematics education supported by digital tools/e-platforms in the educational settings in the SEAMEO region and beyond. To enable the journal to reach a wider audience and faster, LSM was published online since 2006 and accessible for free from LSM official website of SEAMEO RECSAM. LSM Online Journal aims to be a media for discourse, development and exchange of ideas in the teaching and learning of Science and Mathematics incorporating the latest pedagogical approaches supported by technology-enhanced learning. The target audiences and contributing authors include practicing classroom teachers; in-service/pre-service teachers; educators, researchers and policy makers involving in the teaching and learning as well as providing training for improvement of Science and Mathematics education at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.

We invite articles on Science and Mathematics education with research and/or evidence-based findings for the piloted lesson exemplars which might be of interest to teachers/teacher educators. Articles related to the current trends of Science/Mathematics teaching and learning in line with SEAMEO’s seven priority areas, United Nation’s ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ (SDGs), and so forth, are also acceptable. For example, ‘Project-based Activities’ (PBA), ‘Problem-based Learning’ (PBL), ‘Inquiry-based Science Education’ (IBSE), ‘Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics’ (STEM) and ‘Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics’ (STEAM) related pedagogical approaches supported by digital tools, virtual learning and/or e-platforms  [e.g. blended learning organized by Learning Science and Mathematics Together (LeSMaT) in a borderless world project initiative, URL: http://www.recsam.edu.my/sub_lesmatborderless]. We solicit high quality articles which are easy to understand that discusses the practice of teaching and learning of Science and Mathematics integrating transdisciplinary approaches such as STEM, STEAM, Technology-enhanced Learning, to name a few.  Apart from the abovementioned, articles in the form of action research, evaluation studies, best practices with evidences, meta-analysis or critical review of previous studies, books, digital/non-digital resources, etc. with conceptual framework supported by case exemplars are also welcome. Readers and authors who intend to contribute articles are to refer to the subsequence “Note to Contributors” section and send their articles four to six months before the publication of the journal for the year.
