Welcome to the Journal of Academia
Journal of Academia (JoA) is an official academic publication of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Negeri Sembilan. JoA is an open-access journal for academicians and researchers to contribute and share their ideas and knowledge.
JoA bearing an e-ISSN: 2289-6368 and currently indexed by MyCite, MyJurnal, Directory of Open Access scholarly Resources (ROAD), and Google Scholar.
JoA will be publishing articles twice a year (April Issue and October Issue) from 2020 onwards (Previously JoA was published in June and December since 2018).
Submission of articles to the journal is welcome at any time. Authors interested in submitting a paper should send the paper using an online submission (MyJMS). Submission should adhere to our guidelines. Authors are strongly encouraged to use the template (refer to Download section) for the preparation of their papers.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
JoA does not incur any article processing charges for the accepted papers. It’s free of charge to publish with JoA.
Papers are accepted on the understanding that they have not been and will not be published elsewhere. Authors are encouraged to check their papers for plagiarism before submission. It is because any paper with more than 30% plagiarism (based on Turnitin) will be immediately rejected without an editorial/peer-review process. JoA applies a double-blind review process. Each paper is assessed by the editor and, if it is judged suitable for this publication, it is then sent to at least two independent referees for peer review. Based on their recommendations, the editor then decides whether the paper should be accepted in its current form, revised or rejected. Papers on acceptance become the copyright of the journal. However, the authors retain publishing rights with respect to Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
All published work in JoA will be archived Universiti Teknologi MARA Institutional Repository.
Open Access Statement
All published papers are OPEN ACCESS and free to read/download by anyone from the world through JoA’s website.
