ABSTRACT
Technology leadership is a model that can be used by school leaders to develop the potential of educators in improving their self-efficacy to master information and communication technology (ICT) so that they are able to face changes in the education system towards the digital technology. This study is aimed to identify the level of principal's technology leadership practice and its relationship with the self-efficacy of secondary school teachers in Muar district, Johor. This study is in the form of a survey using a quantitative approach by distributing of questionnaires online. The respondents of the study consisted of 323 teachers of secondary schools in the Muar district. Descriptive and inferential analysis using SPSS software was used to answer the research questions. The findings of the study show that the level of the principal's technology leadership practice according to the teacher's perception is at a high level (mean=4.00, sd=0.30) and the level of self-efficacy is also at a high level (mean=4.12, sd=0.27). Analysis through the Pearson Correlation test shows that there is a significant but weak positive relationship between the principal's technology leadership practices and the teacher's self-efficacy (r=0.235, p<0.01). Stakeholders such as KPM, JPN and PPD can use the findings of this study to plan, design and implement programs or courses to improve the quality of principals’ technology leadership and teachers' self-efficacy. These findings can also change the training approach focusing on the elements contained in technological leadership which will indirectly impact the quality of the school and the development of students through the development of the professional quality of school leaders. In conclusion, the principal's role as a school leader has changed to a technology leader in line with the integration of ICT applied in education today. Therefore, principals need to be able to master technology leadership practices more effectively.
