Peranan Gaya Kepimpinan Jurulatih Terhadap Motivasi Pelajar Untuk Bersukan

Abstract

Gaya kepimpinan jurulatih memainkan peranan penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi pelajar untuk meneruskan aktiviti sukan yang diminati dalam sukan permainan di sekolah. Namun, pada masa ini motivasi pelajar untuk melakukan aktiviti sukan dan permainan di sekolah sangat perlahan dan hanya segelintir pelajar sahaja yang turun setiap petang untuk bersukan. Salah satu punca kegagalan ini  ialah kerana jurulatih yang tidak mengamalkan gaya kepimpinan yang sesuai sekaligus tidak mampu meningkatkan motivasi pelajar. Lantaran itu, tujuan utama kajian ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti gaya kepimpinan jurulatih yang mampu meningkatkan motivasi pelajar dalam sukan dan permainan.. Sejumlah 254 orang pelajar telah terlibat dalam kajian ini. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan perisian IBM SPSS dan SmartPLS 3.0. Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan gaya kepimpinan jurulatih yang mengamalkan gaya demokratik, gaya maklum balas positif serta gaya latihan dan arahan mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan ke atas motivasi pelajar. Kajian ini mencadangkan jika motivasi pelajar ingin dipertingkatkan, jurulatih hendaklah mengamalkan gaya kepimpinan demokratik, maklum balas positif serta gaya kepimpinan latihan dan arahan.
