Penggunaan Aktiviti Amali Mudah dalam Meningkatkan Pencapaian Murid-Murid di Sekolah Kurang Murid Luar Bandar Sabah

Abstract

dalam meningkatkan pencapaian murid-murid di Sekolah Kurang Murid (SKM) luar bandar Sabah. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk pensampelan rawak. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 195 murid SKM di Daerah Kota Belud yang dipilih daripada sembilan belas sekolah rendah di Negeri Sabah. Kertas ujian pra dan ujian pasca disediakan untuk setiap tajuk sains yang diuji. Item ujian objektif ini dibina sendiri oleh pengkaji berdasarkan sukatan murid dan sains Tahun 5 berdasarkan aras kognitif objektif taksonomi Bloom dari aras pengetahuan hingga aras aplikasi.  Pemilihan aras kognitif adalah mengikut seperti yang disarankan oleh Lembaga Peperiksaan Malaysia dalam kebanyakan penyediaan soalan-soalan ujian di sekolah rendah di Malaysia. Ujian pra dan pasca diberikan kepada 195 orang murid Tahun 5 di SKM yang dipilih secara rawak untuk kumpulan rawatan sahaja. Ujian pra ditadbirkan kepada kumpulan rawatan sebelum menjalankan aktiviti amali mudah dan ujian pasca selepas menjalankan aktiviti amali mudah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Ujian Wilcoxon. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan bagi kumpulan rawatan dalam ujian pencapaian pra dan pasca untuk ketiga-tiga bab yang telah diuji iaitu                    (z = -17.702b; sig = .000), untuk Bab Elektrik, (z = -7.939b; sig = .000) untuk Bab Suhu dan Haba, dan (z = -7.176b; sig = .000) untuk Bab Asid dan Bes. Sampel kajian memperoleh min ujian pasca yang lebih tinggi secara signifikan berbanding dengan min ujian pra. Ini menunjukkan pelaksanaan amali mudah mendatangkan kesan positif ke atas pencapaian sains dalam kalangan sampel kajian. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa terdapat peningkatan pencapaian sains bagi tiga bab yang diuji.
