Pedagogi Pendidikan Awal Kanak-kanak di Prasekolah Pasca-Pandemik COVID-19

Abstract

Penutupan institusi pendidikan yang disebabkan oleh pandemik COVID-19 didapati telah memberi impak negatif terhadap perkembangan dan pembelajaran kanak-kanak, termasuk pendidikan prasekolah. Oleh yang demikian, isu-isu perkembangan kanak-kanak perlu diberi perhatian dalam menangani permasalahan ini.  Kertas ini membincangkan berkaitan pedagogi-pedagogi yang boleh dilaksanakan di prasekolah pasca-pandemik COVID-19. Pedagogi tersebut adalah 1) pembelajaran menggunakan media digital, 2) pembelajaran berasaskan projek, dan 3) pembelajaran outdoor. Pedagogi ini meliputi domain perkembangan kanak-kanak seperti perkembangan fizikal, emosi dan sosial, bahasa dan komunikasi, kreativiti, dan motivasi di dalam membina pengalaman pembelajaran.  Bagi memastikan pedagogi ini dapat dilaksanakan dan seterusnya dapat memberi impak positif terhadap perkembangan kanak-kanak, sokongan dan peranan pihak pengurusan, guru serta ibu bapa adalah sangat perlu.  Diharapkan, kajian mendalam dan saintifik berkaitan pedagogi kanak-kanak di prasekolah pasca-pandemik COVID-19 boleh dijalankan pada masa hadapan bagi menyediakan perancangan pedagogi yang lebih sistematik dan bersesuaian serta berkesan terhadap pencapaian kanak-kanak.
