Hubungan antara Iklim Sekolah dan Efikasi Kendiri dengan Komitmen Guru Novis Sekolah Rendah

Abstract

Iklim sekolah dan efikasi kendiri guru merupakan elemen penting yang menyumbang kepada peningkatan komitmen guru novis. Reka bentuk kajian kuantitatif berbentuk tinjauan dipilih untuk mengenal pasti hubungan antara iklim sekolah, efikasi kendiri dengan komitmen guru novis. Seramai 150 orang guru novis sekolah rendah negeri Selangor telah dipilih sebagai responden melalui persampelan rawak mudah. Instrumen soal selidik yang digunakan dalam kajian ialah School Climate Index (SCI), Teacher Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES) dan Skala Komitmen Guru (SKG). Data kajian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi menggunakan Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 26.0. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan iklim sekolah adalah pada tahap yang sangat tinggi dengan skor min 4.32 manakala efikasi kendiri guru novis adalah pada tahap yang sangat tinggi dengan skor min 4.27. Tahap komitmen guru novis adalah tinggi dengan skor min 4.15. Analisis korelasi Pearson menunjukkan bahawa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara iklim sekolah dengan komitmen guru novis di sekolah rendah negeri Selangor (r=0.57, p<0.01). Dapatan juga menunjukkan bahawa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara efikasi kendiri dengan komitmen guru novis di sekolah rendah negeri Selangor (r=0.62, p<0.01) . Kajian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai garis panduan kepada pihak pentadbir sekolah dalam usaha mewujudkan iklim sekolah yang positif agar dapat meningkatkan komitmen guru novis. Kajian ini juga membawa implikasi kepada guru novis untuk menyedari kepentingan efikasi kendiri dalam menyumbang kepada tahap komitmen mereka.
