Keberkesanan Bimbingan Pembangunan Profesionalisme Guru Baharu Di Sekolah Berdasarkan Pengalaman Guru Mentor

Abstract

Kajian menunjukkan bahawa keberkesanan sesebuah program pembangunan profesionalisme guru baharu adalah dipengaruhi oleh tahap penguasaan kemahiran dan pengalaman guru mentor yang membimbing. Oleh kerana itu, kajian ini ingin mendalami faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan guru mentor dalam sebuah Program Pembangunan Guru Baharu anjuran Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia. Kajian ini dijalankan bagi mengenalpasti kriteria dan faktor pemilihan guru mentor bagi sesebuah program pembangunan profesional guru baharu di sekolah. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang menggunakan rekabentuk survei. Sampel kajian ini terdiri daripada 94 orang guru mentor dan 274 guru baharu yang pernah menyertai Program Pembangunan Guru Baharu (PPGB) pada tahun 2015 sehingga 2019 di sekolah-sekolah negeri Johor. Set borang soal selidik ini telah dibina berdasarkan instrumen kajian terpiawai dari Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia 2015-2025, Panduan Pelaksanaan Program Pembangunan Guru Baharu 2.0 (2021) dan Standard Guru Malaysia 2.0 (2021). Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa pengalaman dan kemahiran guru mentor yang bersesuaian dengan keperluan latihan amat mempengaruhi keberkesanan program pembangunan profesionalisme guru baharu di sekolah. Oleh itu, dicadangkan agar Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia menetapkan kriteria yang lebih kritis dalam pemilihan guru mentor bagi memastikan bimbingan yang diterima oleh guru baharu datang dari guru mentor yang benar-benar berpengalaman dalam bidang yang diperlukan.
