Tahap Keupayaan Murid Tahun Enam dalam Menjana Masalah Matematik Semi-Berstruktur
Abstract
Pembelajaran Matematik berasaskan penjanaan masalah perlu dititikberatkan dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran murid-murid. Hal ini kerana, masih terdapat segelintir murid yang mempunyai tahap keupayaan yang lemah dalam menjana masalah. Kajian mengenai perbezaan antara jantina berkenaan penjanaan masalah juga dilihat tidak begitu banyak dijalankan. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tahap keupayaan penjanaan masalah Matematik semi-berstruktur antara murid lelaki dan perempuan. Selain itu, kajian juga ingin mengenal pasti sejauh manakah perbezaan skor penjanaan masalah Matematik yang signifikan antara murid lelaki dan perempuan. Reka bentuk kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kajian tinjauan. Responden kajian terdiri daripada 41 orang murid tahun enam di sebuah sekolah di Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan. Satu instrumen penjanaan masalah semi-berstruktur yang mempunyai empat soalan digunakan. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensi Ujian-t dua sampel tidak bersandar. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap keupayaan penjanaan masalah Matematik antara murid lelaki dan perempuan masih berada pada tahap yang rendah. Analisis inferensi pula mendapati bahawa tiada perbezaan yang signifikan skor min ujian penjanaan masalah Matematik semi-berstruktur antara murid lelaki dan perempuan. Cadangan kajian lanjutan bagi mengkaji penjanaan masalah Matematik yang melibatkan pelbagai golongan peringkat umur, perbezaan antara jantina perlu diperbanyakkan. Seterusnya, kajian yang menggunakan instrumen soalan penjanaan masalah matematik bebas dan berstruktur juga perlu dijalankan. Secara keseluruhannya, dapat dilihat bahawa kemahiran murid sekolah rendah dalam menjana masalah masih lemah.
