Sikap Pelajar Terhadap Implementasi Sains, Teknologi, Kejuruteraan dan Matematik (STEM) dalam Pembelajaran

Abstract

STEM merupakan kombinasi pengetahuan saintifik, teknikal dan inovasi. Namun, kajian sikap pelajar terhadap STEM adalah amat terbatas. Justeru, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sikap pelajar terhadap implementasi STEM dalam pembelajaran. Reka bentuk tinjauan melalui pendekatan kuantitatif telah digunakan dengan instrumen yang diadaptasi untuk pengukuran sikap pelajar. Seramai 34 orang pelajar tingkatan dua daripada sebuah sekolah menengah di Kuching, Sarawak telah dipilih sebagai responden menggunakan teknik pensampelan rawak mudah. Dapatan menunjukkan sikap pelajar terhadap implementasi STEM berada pada tahap yang tinggi. Selain itu, didapati terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara pelajar lelaki dan perempuan dalam sikap pelajar terhadap implementasi STEM dalam pembelajaran. Pelajar lelaki juga didapati bersikap lebih positif berbanding pelajar perempuan terhadap implementasi STEM. Cadangan penambahbaikan kajian boleh dilakukan melalui penambahan sampel kajian, perluasan konteks dan mengaitkannya dengan pemboleh ubah lain yang berpotensi.
