PENGARUH EFIKASI KENDIRI TERHADAP BURNOUT GURU SEKOLAH KEBANGSAAN (SK) DI KUALA LUMPUR

Abstract

Burnout merupakan antara masalah kesihatan mental yang berlaku dalam kalangan guru. Terdapat faktor dalaman serta luaran yang boleh mempengaruhi tahap burnout seseorang. Oleh itu, kajian tinjauan ini dilaksanakan bagi mengenalpasti tahap efikasi kendiri guru, tahap burnout guru, hubungan serta pengaruh efikasi kendiri terhadap burnout guru di sekolah kebangsaan. Seramai 364 orang guru Sekolah Kebangsaan di Kuala Lumpur terlibat dalam kajian ini. Data kajian kuantitatif ini diperoleh daripada soal selidik dan dianalisis menggunakan perisian SPSS. Soal selidik yang digunakan ialah ‘Teachers’s Sense of Efficacy Scale’ dan ‘Maslach Burnout Inventory’. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap efikasi kendiri guru adalah tinggi iaitu min skor 3.95 manakala tahap burnout guru adalah sederhana iaitu min skor 3.09. Hasil analisis Ujian Korelasi Pearson membuktikan terdapat nilai korelasi positif yang lemah (r = 0.161, p<0.01) antara efikasi kendiri dengan burnout guru. Secara keseluruhannya menunjukkan ketiga-tiga pembolehubah peramal efikasi kendiri dalam Ujian Regresi Linear memberikan pengaruh 2.6 % terhadap burnout guru. Rumusan dapatan menunjukkan bahawa masih terdapat faktor lain yang boleh mempengaruhi burnout seperti faktor persekitaran kerja yang tidak inovatif (Sahar Mohamed, 2015) dan bebanan kerja (Hakanen & Koivumaki, 2014). Kajian ini diharap dapat membantu pihak pengurusan sekolah bagi memastikan emosi atau kesihatan mental guru berada dalam keadaan yang baik semasa menjalankan tugas.
