Determinants of Young Agropreneurs Success in Kelantan
Abstract
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector plays a crucial role in national economic growth by contributing significantly to national income. One of the key drivers of this growth is the agriculture sector, namely through the efforts of young agropreneurs, who are bringing innovation and sustainability to farming techniques. However, despite their potential, young agropreneurs have difficulties that will prevent them from succeeding in agriculture over the long run. The purpose of this study is to create a conceptual framework that investigates the crucial elements that young Kelantan agropreneurs believe are necessary for their business's success. This study is not only crucial to understanding the success of young agropreneurs but also contribute to job creation within society and enhance food security. This study incorporates a review of the literature to identify the key determinants of young agropreneurs' success. The study's findings show that three important criteria influence the success of young agropreneurs. These variables include entrepreneurial skills, business support programs, and innovation capability, all of which are essential for supporting entrepreneurial success. The implications of the study were discussed to provide insights into how these findings will influence the entrepreneurial success of young agropreneurs, highlighting the importance of fostering the identified determinants to enhance their business success. This study adds to the academic literature and practical policymaking by providing insights and recommendations that assist the success of young agropreneurs.
