The Improvement of Financial Literacy and Digital Payment Behavior in Generation Z: A Literature Review
Abstract
This study explores the improvement of financial literacy and digital payment behavior within Generation Z, focusing on the Indonesian context. Utilizing a literature review methodology, we investigate the factors influencing financial literacy and the adoption of digital payment methods among Gen Z. Our findings reveal that factors such as income, education, and convenience significantly impact Gen Z's inclination towards digital payments. Moreover, we highlight the pivotal role of financial literacy in shaping consumer behavior and decision-making processes, emphasizing its importance in navigating the evolving landscape of digital transactions. By shedding light on these dynamics, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of Gen Z's financial behaviors and provides insights for policymakers, educators, and businesses aiming to enhance financial literacy initiatives and promote responsible digital payment practices among younger demographics.
