Abstract

Consistent attendance in school is a crucial factor in ensuring students' success. The issue of student absenteeism has become a primary concern in the education system, particularly among secondary school students. Therefore, this study aims to develop an easy-to-use application that can effectively address the management of absence issues in secondary schools. The objective of this study is to create an E-Record application that facilitates school administrators, teachers, and parents in digitally recording and managing student attendance. This application will enable school administrators to access real-time attendance information and notify parents of any repeated delays or absences. The methodology of this study involves collecting information from school administrators, teachers, and parents through interviews, questionnaires, and literature review. The E-Record application will be designed and developed using state of the art technology, tailored to the users' needs. The usage of the application will be evaluated through field studies and feedback from users to assess its effectiveness in addressing absence issues. The anticipated outcome of this study is to create an effective E-Record application for managing student attendance in secondary schools. This application is expected to reduce the rate of absenteeism by increasing student awareness, facilitating stakeholders' access to real-time attendance information, and strengthening collaboration among school administrators, teachers, and parents. Overall, the E-Record application is expected to contribute to improved academic performance and excellence in secondary schools.
