INNOVATION MINDSET : SMES VS STARTUPS
Abstract
One country's progress is marked by the high economic growth, one of which supports this growth with the large number of entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs can be SMEs or those currently booming everywhere, namely Startups. Both of these entrepreneurship models are to be able to survive in the industry and are required to always be able to meet the needs of consumers, the way taken is to innovate. The development of the acceleration of SMEs and Startups is very significant, for SMEs it takes quite a long time to be able to be said to be successful and earn profits, while Startups do not need a long time to be able to achieve the same profit as SMEs that have stood for decades. This is all one of them is because of Innovation. This research was conducted to determine the tendency of individual innovation from SMEs and Startups, the methodology used was the mix method, carried out by calculating the innovation mindset using BII tools, then proceed with conducting deep interviews to 4 SMEs and 4 Startups. The results obtained are that SMEs have tendency to Believe, while Startups have tendency to resilience.
