Abstract

This study investigates the impact of community involvement, interdisciplinary projects, and service learning on student engagement and learning within the local cultural framework in China. By integrating cultural practitioners, historians, and artists into the educational process, this research evaluates how these collaborations enhance student motivation and participation in cultural learning. The approach includes examining cultural elements through various academic lenses—history, art, sociology, and environmental studies—and employing service learning to apply cultural knowledge in real-world community projects. The study measures the effectiveness of these strategies through student motivation, participation rates, and performance in local cultural assessments. Ultimately, this research aims to demonstrate how community collaboration can significantly enrich the educational experience, fostering a more engaged and culturally aware student body.
