The Acceptability of De’ Noni Paste: Case Study Politeknik Merlimau Melaka

Abstract

This study is assigned to determine the level of respondents toward De’ Noni Paste. The reason for producing De’ Noni Paste is to share the nutritional and the benefits of Noni fruit also known as Morinda Citrifolia among society. Nowadays, awareness of healthy eating habits among society is still low. Looking at its ability and advantages studies has been conducted to produce De’ Noni Paste from ripen flesh of Morinda Citrofolia. The most important is M.citrifolia has 1001 benefits for users such as vitamins, substances such as xeronine, proxeronin, natural steriod, alizarin, sodium, scopoletin, and more. The study uses a quantitative method in which a questionnaire was distributed to the respondent face to face, which involved 50 respondents from several departments at Politeknik Merlimau, Melaka. Data that was collected was using a hedonic scale. The data then were analyzed using Statistical Packages for Social Science (SSPS) version 25 to obtain a mean score. The results of the study found that the overall respondents have given a positive response to the " De’ Noni Paste". According to the data, the majority of respondents gave a very positive answer because this product satisfies the taste of respondents.
