One of the most important employability features is the learning skills which can uplift the economic status in the 21st century. In addition, employees with learning skills are also required by employers. Problem-based learning (PBM) is an active learning method that enables students to “learn how to learn”, develop strong curiosity and enable them to have ongoing learning skills. Therefore, this study is aimed at identifying the level of learning skills through the PBM method in Selangor Polytechnic (PBS, PSA and PSIS). A total of 229 Muslim students who took DUA 2012 Science, Technology and Engineering in Islam course were involved in this study. A set of questionnaires consisting of 14 items using a five-point likert scale was used as a research instrument. The level of learning skills was determined by descriptive data analysis while the inference analysis was used to find differences in student learning skills between polytechnics in Selangor. The findings of the study found that Selangor polytechnic students had high levels of learning skills (min = 4.02, sp = 0.541). One-way ANOVA tests revealed that there were significant learning skills differences between PBS, PSA and PSIS with F values (2,226) = 3.356, p <.05 involving PBS students (mean = 3.84, sd = .506) and PSA students (mean = 4.07, sd = .543), p <.05. However, Multiple Comparison found that there was no significant difference in learning skills between PBS and PSIS students (mean = 4.08, sd = .542), p> .05 and also between PSA and PSIS students, p> .05. As a summary of this study, the researcher had also included some suggestions to improve the level of learning skills.
